Since March 2017, Google and Symantec have been involved in a dispute over Symantec’s validation process for SSL certificates (read more here). Google has announced a solution that will have an immediate impact on you and your customers. On August 8th, 2017, Google's Chrome browser will begin mistrusting any Symantec and Symantec-brand SSL certificates (GeoTrust/RapidSSL) that were issued before June 1st, 2016. To avoid having your SSL certificates be mistrusted by Chrome, it is necessary that you reissue (FREE of charge) all affected certificates BEFORE August 8, 2017.

Please note: No action is required if your certificates are used for internal installation purposes, and you do not care about any potential browser warnings.
